As someone who comes from academia, I was initially horrified to think that AI could replace human creativity. For example, Shakespeare is part of our common identity and a colossal expression of humanity that is timeless and resonates with so many of us, even over 400 years after being written. It's therefore a common fear that AI will replace our jobs and eventually make human creativity and expression moot. I don’t think this is the case though—AI should be considered a productivity tool that can enhance our research and understanding and guide us along the creative process. It is a symbiotic relationship that can save us time undertaking mundane tasks, freeing us up to concentrate on the core of who we are and to help give expression to it.
